Nothing says I love you...

...like defacing public property.

One of the first observations I said aloud about Italy was the Italians penchant for graffiti of declarations of love. Interesting. "Ti amo Claudia." "Antonio, ti amo." and the like. Again...interesting.

So it seems that my trip is finally over. I mean...in less than 24 hours anyway...and in true "Me" fashion is has not turned out as I had previously thought. No Pompeii. I know, lame. But shit happens...and being that I am basically at the whim of the Navy since they own Eric...I am, by association, also owned. Which wouldn't be all that horrible if I was making the same money as him. But we all know that isn't a fact. So. I guess this just means I have to come back to Italy. Period. And I'm not saying that because there was a major lack of trip taking and such that this hasn't been a completely fulfilling trip, it just certainly did not meet the travel quota, lol. Such is life. I'll come back.

With that said...I have gotten choked up multiple times...just today. Last night before bed. Yesterday afternoon while playing Sodoku. Shit, man. We all knew I was going to be a mess when I left here, but really? I can't save the water works until I actually leave? Sigh. It is definitely going to be even more tough than I had expected it would be. I can't even explain it. All I know at the moment is...

Sigh.

Parts of me are extremely excited to get home, though. I miss things about home I didn't know I'd miss. I miss the sound of the TV always being on. The way when I walk into the house I throw my keys on the stairs and my grandma asks, "Is that you?" I miss the people. The sounds. I miss home. So it will be nice to be back.

Having your heart break and rejoice at the same time is an odd feeling. I must say.

And with that...I'm off to spend my last day in Italy doing...who knows. I'm just interested in the company anyway.

Shit.I'm leaving before I cry all over Eric's lap top. Surely he wouldn't be too excited about that, lol.

Ciao, Italy.
